nabij de samenvloeiing v.d. Nederschelde en het Klein Scheldeken, bevinden zich de 6 à 7 m. hoge resten v.e. ronde toren met schietgaten; het geheel werd in 1899 opgemeten door architect L. Cloquet; vanaf deze toren liep een 1.20 m. dikke bakstenen stadsmuur tot de Vijfwindgatenpoort;
