La partie principale est construite en 1830-1831. C'est une commande du chevalier Henri-Toussaint Fischbach, industriel de Malmedy. En 1885, on y ajoute le porche, à la demande du curé d'Xhoffraix.
La chapelle est un ex-voto en l'honneur de Notre-Dame de Bon Secours, à la suite du sauvetage du beau-père de Fischbach, égaré en Fagne vers 1819, et qui aurait été sauvé par le tenancier de la Baraque Michel.
