Het kasteel Vuylcoop nabij Houten wordt voor het eerst vermeld in 1392. Op dit ogenblik blijft ervan enkel de woontoren over (= gebouw rechts op de tekening), als laatste restant; op de plaats van het woonhuis links op de tekening, staat nu een boerderij. De toren was omgracht; hij meet qua omtrek 9 x 6,20m, en heeft een muurdikte van 1,20m.
Naar elk van beide tekening werd een gravure gemaakt: eveneens inventarisnr. KMSKB 4060 / 280, clichénrs. E29022 (huis Vuylcoop) en E29023 (dorp Houten).
